How does it work?

We're currently collecting tweets that link to various news sources. Because we're in early beta, we only have some news sources in the database.

We than take a deeper look into the tweets to rank all incoming news articles. For example we rank by the time, something was tweeted. We also have a look at the tweet source (so that automaticly sended tweets are not ranked) and the source of the tweet.

What's the goal?

Let's say, I love Google News. Because I love News. But I don't like the ranking of GN, because it's odd and outdated. I like news that are discussed by people. So we build a ranking that sorts news the other way around.

Who built NewsTweetr?

Well, me. I'm working at Mediati - Agentur für digitale Zukunft GmbH in Berlin, Germany. If you like to know more about us, visit us or take a look into my german blog Blog.
